2. Build a strong portfolio : show case your best work in a portfolio either as a pdf file or you can create your own portfolio website which will be easier for clients to check just by clicking the link which you share with them

3. Leverage online platforms : optimise your profile on all the trending freelancing platform out there like fiver , upwork 

4. Networking and building relationship : The best platform for this is linkedin Optimise your profile and connect with similar people in website development and start sharing content here on linked in which may either land you a high paying job or a freelancing project

5. Value added service : Suppose client gave you ecommerce website with basic functionality but you added 2 more functionality from your side which will build trust this will help you retain the client later on 

6. Competitive rate : Don't decrease the price to get client . If you don't have client yet then you can agree to his budget in start later on don't do that . Also adjust your rates according to your skills and expereience

7. Marketing : Use short form content and social media to market yourself by sharing your work and things you know

8. Stay up to date - Stay current with trends and technologies and offer in demand service like for example in web development clients wants to design the website using mern stack not with php and its framework.
